Justin Jefferson is one of the best purveyors of touchdown celebrations in the NFL. But the Vikings receiver was kept from showing off his moves against the Bills on Sunday.

Curiously enough, it was Jefferson's own Minnesota teammates who kept him from breaking out a fake injury celebration. Jefferson's attempted celebration occurred after he scored a 22-yard touchdown to open the scoring and put Minnesota up 7-0 in the first quarter.

Video of the post-touchdown celebration shows Jefferson faking an injury to his right hamstring before a couple Vikings come over to share in the celebration — particularly tackle Brian O'Neill:

Here's another angle of the would-be celebration that shows Jefferson get exasperated at his teammates:

Jefferson's attempted celebration was in homage to Lo’eau LaBonta of the National Women's Soccer League's Kansas City Current. Hers was a viral celebration after a goal for Kansas City in mid-August:

Either way, it's cool Jefferson, who also brought the "Griddy" into the public consciousness — found inspiration in the NWSL. Next time, he'll have to let his teammates know ahead of time to get out of his way and let him get to work.
