Josh Allen vs. Stefon Diggs stats: How Bills QB, Texans WR have fared without each other in 2024 image

For the first time since the 2019 season, Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs will share a football field — but on opposite sidelines.

Diggs was Allen's No. 1 weapon for four years in Buffalo. The two had immaculate chemistry to lead the Bills offense. The wide receiver has at least 100 receptions and at least 1,000 receiving yards every season with Allen targeting him, while the QB enjoyed breakout seasons once Diggs was brought in from the Vikings ahead of the 2020 season.

Now, the two are no longer sharing a locker room. Diggs was traded this offseason to the Texans, giving Houston QB C.J. Stroud another option in the receiving game, while Buffalo cleared cap space in the process.

The two are set to meet in Week 5 of the 2024 season when Diggs and the Texans host Allen and the Bills at NRG Stadium. Both squads are off to strong starts to the campaign, as Buffalo and Houston sport 3-1 records and lead their respective divisions.

So far, it seems as though the breakup between the two stars in Buffalo has paid off. But what do the numbers say? Here's a look at the stats for Allen and Diggs without each other.

Josh Allen stats 2024

Buffalo faced major questions about the passing game entering the 2024 season. The team lost its top wide receiver and never replaced him, signing depth options in Curtis Samuel and Mack Hollins to join Khalil Shakir, Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox. They drafted Keon Coleman, but none possessed true WR1 ability.

As a result, the Bills have involved the run game much more often in the play calling, but the passing hasn't taken as bad of a hit. Allen ranks 20th in the league in passing yards, but his completion percentage of 69.3 is near the top. His seven passing TDs also are tied for third among all QBs.

The biggest change from this year to other season is Allen's turnovers. Through four weeks, he has yet to throw an interception, which bucks the trend in recent years of the Bills QB airing it out in dangerous situations.

He's only thrown 30 passes once through the first month of the season, and has only passed 200 yards through the air twice. But Allen is still getting it done without Diggs.

Stefon Diggs stats 2024

When Diggs was traded to Houston, he joined a loaded wide receiver room that already boasted Nico Collins and Tank Dell. So far, the 30-year-old has fit in quite nicely in the Texans' offense.

So far, Diggs has been an excellent second option for Stroud at wide receiver. He trails Collins in receptions, targets and yards, but each have two touchdowns on the year. Collins represents a much larger threat down the field to make big plays than his older teammate.

Still, Diggs is on pace to hit 1,000 receiving yards and 100 catches again, showcasing his consistent ability to perform.
