In 2020, "The Griddy" celebration took the NFL by storm. It seems that Antonio Brown's new dance may be the latest league phenomenon.

Brown revealed his self-created dance in late July when he performed at Rolling Loud Miami. It is meant to be performed to the tune of Brown's original song "Put That S— On." All one has to do is point to the left and then to the right, repeating the moves as long as one desires.

The celebration is simple, which is why it has caught fire in the weeks since Brown's performance. He proclaimed in a profane TikTok that he wants the dance to be the "celebration of the year" in the NFL.

He may get his wish if George Pickens has any say.

Pickens, a rookie receiver for the Steelers, performed Brown's dance after he scored a touchdown in the first quarter of Pittsburgh's preseason opener against Seattle on Saturday night. Unsurprisingly, he executed it pretty well.

The only thing crisper than Pickens' celebration was, of course, his touchdown. The 21-year-old grabbed a 26-yard pass from Mason Rudolph and completed a terrific toe-tap to stay in bounds in the back corner of the end zone. His heads-up footwork allowed the Steelers to take a 14-0 lead.

Pickens had a strong preseason debut overall, logging three catches for 43 yards and the touchdown in limited action.

Pickens' solid outing shouldn't be a surprise. He has drawn rave reviews during camp. He has been working with the first team, and coach Mike Tomlin called him "a really talented guy" in a recent interview.

"I don't think that anything surprises me, to be honest with you,” Tomlin said of Pickens. "I was able to go to Athens (Pickens played at Georgia) and see his pro day and sometimes that's all you need from an evaluation standpoint."

So Brown's celebration may not be all that takes the NFL by storm in 2022. Pickens could, too.
