The Eagles are headed to the playoffs for the third consecutive season, marking their sixth trip to the postseason in the past seven seasons.
It hasn't happened precisely the way Philadelphia and its fan base drew things up, especially with a heartbreaking, 20-17 loss to the Seahawks the came in the final seconds with an interception by Jalen Hurts on their last play of the game marking their most recent outing.
Regardless of how they got there, though, the Eagles are in the mix for the stretch that matters the most.

Here's a look at where things currently stand for the Eagles in the playoff picture with the regular season set to conclude in just a matter of weeks.
Eagles playoff picture
The Eagles have already made their way into the postseason, but it's safe to say that it's time to give up any hope of them clinching the top seed after the loss to the Seahawks.
It's the most recent loss of a now three-game losing streak that has become rather concerning after the Eagles started off the season with a statement record of 10-1. It's because of that there was little question Philadelphia would make it to the postseason, though it's not on the anticipated note.
The Eagles currently have a 64.2% chance of taking the division, a 5% chance of becoming the top seed, a 17.4% chance of winning the conference and a 7.7% chance of going all the way and winning the Super Bowl, according to Sporting News' expert predictive model.

Eagles remaining schedule
The Eagles have a strong chance of finishing out the season without another loss, highly expected to win out with two remaining matchups against the Giants, including the season finale, and a contest in the middle against the Cardinals.
That trio of games represents the easiest remaining schedule of any team in the NFL, according to Tankathon, as Philadelphia's opponents currently have a .310 winning percentage.
Here's a look at the three games the Eagles have remaining on schedule for the 2023 regular season.
Date | Opponent | Record |
Monday, Dec. 25 | Giants | 5-9 |
Sunday, Dec. 31 | Cardinals | 3-11 |
Sunday, Jan. 7 | Giants | 5-9 |
Eagles playoff chances
The Eagles are a lock to make the postseason with odds at 100%, clinching a playoff berth in Week 15 despite the ensuing fall to the Seahawks. The question now is whether they enter the postseason as a wild card or NFC East champions.
If the Eagles are to lose another game within their conference, it will mark their fourth of such in the 2023 season. If the Cowboys suffer a fourth defeat by the Dolphins, then Dallas will come out on the right side of a tiebreaker.
If the Cowboys lose to the Lions and the Eagles lose to the Giants in either of their meetings with the New York team, Dallas will get the division title due to their record in matchups in the East.
If the Eagles are to fall to the Cardinals in this situation, though, they would still win the conference.
As far as the NFC is concerned, here's a look at the standings as Seattle, New Orleans and Atlanta remain the most notable teams in the hunt.
