Philadelphia Bulldogs. Georgia North. Whatever you call them, the Eagles are keeping their Athens-to-Philly pipeline flowing.
Last year. the Eagles drafted two standout defenders from Georgia's 2021 national championship team, taking Jordan Davis in the first round and Nakobe Dean in the third round.
The pattern continued during Day 1 of the 2023 NFL Draft.
General manager Howie Roseman traded up one pick with the Bears to end defensive tackle Jalen Carter's mini-slide, and then he used the 30th pick on EDGE Nolan Smith a few hours later.

That means each of Philadelphia's last three first-round picks have been Georgia defenders.
Even still, the Eagles weren't done adding Bulldogs to its stop unit. The team traded up at the start of Day 3 of the draft to select cornerback Kelee Ringo.
So now, the Eagles now have four key starters from the Bulldogs' 2021 title team. Carter, Smith and Ringo also won a second national championship at Georgia in the 2022 season, though Smith missed the end of last season with an injury.

It's not always coincidental when a team makes a habit of drafting players from the same program. When the Ravens were led by Alabama alum Ozzie Newsome, they drafted a slew of Crimson Tide standouts including C.J. Mosley, Marlon Humphrey, Courtney Upshaw, Bradley Bozeman and Anthony Averett.
Patriots coach Bill Belichick has a penchant for selecting Rutgers players, including Logan Ryan and Duron Harmon in the same draft.
Belichick has admitted he likes the way Rutgers coach Greg Schiano operates, saying in 2013, "I'd say the players he recruits and the program he runs is in a lot of ways similar to what we do."

It's possible Roseman noticed something in the way Davis and Dean carried themselves as rookies that drove him to go back to the Georgia well. Or it could be that Georgia just has a ridiculous amount of talent after back-to-back national championships. It could be a little of both.
Regardless of the reason, the Eagles have quite a Bulldog brotherhood forming in Philadelphia, and it will be interesting to see if the team adds any more UGA players at the 2023 NFL Draft continues.
