When the Seahawks traded Russell Wilson to the Broncos and got Drew Lock back, it was known Lock would have to fight for a starting job with Geno Smith.

Instead, he's being put up against tennis social media accounts.

Lock caught a stray from the US Open Twitter account when a Seahawks fan used one of the three canned responses from Twitter trolls in response to ESPN posting the video of Nick Kyrgios' through-the-legs serve against Stefanos Tsitsipas at Wimbledon. The user said "not a sport," to which the US Open replied:

Predictably, the NFL world took great joy in Lock getting dunked on for basically no reason, and the US Open's account reveled in its 15 minutes.

Lock, to his credit, was a very good (real) sport about the exchange as he wished everyone a happy Independence Day.

The US Open made its response as well, seemingly burying the hatchet and leaving nothing to say.

Lock is heading into his fourth year in the NFL after being a second-round pick by the Broncos.
