Tom Brady NFL on Fox commercial

NFL on Fox aired a commercial titled "Tom Brady is back to work" ahead of the former star quarterback's debut in the booth.

The commercial shows a fake sports talk show host giving Brady a hard time for coming out of retirement to join the media. It then pans to Brady, who is being questioned by past versions of himself.

"Yeah Tommy, the guy who took a couple snaps in JUCO wants answers. Why don't you lay on a beach getting fat on pina coladas?" the Patriots version of Brady says.

"Why not buy a soccer team?" the Buccaneers version of Brady asks before the real Brady responds with, "Got one."

That exchange had fans curious if Brady actually owned a soccer team. You can watch the rest of the commercial below.

Does Tom Brady own a soccer team?

Yes, Brady is a minority owner of Birmingham City F.C., who plays in the English Football League.

The English Football League is the second-best in England after the renowned English Premier League.

Brady jumped on the Birmingham F.C. ownership group in Aug. 2023.

"Brady will apply his extensive leadership experience and expertise across several components of the club, including working alongside the sports science department to advise on health, nutrition, wellness, and recovery systems and programs," the football club wrote in the official release at the time of the announcement.

Brady's Birmingham City was relegated to the EFL's secondary "League One" after finishing in the bottom three this past season.

Brady reportedly owns just a 3.3 percent stake in Birmingham City, which means he does not have voting rights for the club.
