De’Von Achane’s momentous return from injury absence may have been cut short on Sunday.
The Dolphins star, who missed each of Miami’s last four games after tweaking his knee in Week 5 vs. the Giants, lasted all of a few minutes before limping off the field against the Raiders.
The former Texas A&M star has shone since making his debut earlier in the season, leading the league in yards per carry while announcing himself as one of the league’s most dynamic threats. But his health has been of concern to Mike McDaniel and Co., who have looked far less lively without their effervescent tailback.

De’Von Achane injury update
Achane dropped the turf after taking an awkward blow from Las Vegas EDGE Tyree Wilson. He immediately drifted to the sidelines, taking refuge in the blue medical tent.
After a short spell in there, Achane left for the locker room for further evaluation, according to ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques.
Achane returned to the sideline, but was seen standing around a group of Miami’s inactive players, according to the Miami Herald’s Daniel Oyefusi.
Currently, he is listed as questionable to return. It’s still unclear whether he aggravated his prior knee injury or sustained a new one on Sunday.
Dolphins RB depth chart
With Achane on the mend, expect to see a healthy dose of Raheem Mostert going forward. The burly running back offers a bit of fire to Achane’s elusive play. With 605 yards and 11 touchdowns on just 109 carries this year, there are certainly worse options.
Miami is without the services of backup Jeff Wilson Jr., though. The veteran tailback was ruled inactive ahead of this week’s game with Achane's return.
