The next time Davante Adams suits up for an NFL game, it could be in a different uniform than the Raiders' black and silver.
The star wide receiver wants out of Las Vegas. Adams reportedly requested a trade after Week 4 of the 2024 NFL season, signaling a potential end to his time with the Raiders after he was traded from the Packers to the AFC West team in 2022.
Adams is in the third year of a five-year, $140 million contract he signed with Las Vegas after the trade from Green Bay. However, a revolving door at quarterback has been a major issue for the Raiders' offense, and the disgruntled Adams is hoping to bring his elite skills elsewhere in 2024.
The trade deadline, however, is not until Nov. 5, and Adams is currently injured. He suffered a hamstring injury in the lead-up to the Raiders' Week 4 contest against the Browns and has not returned to the field since.

When will Davante Adams return?
It is unclear when Adams will return to the Raiders, however, he has been progressing along well, according to Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce.
"Davante’s doing well," Pierce said last Wednesday. "Hamstring is getting there. He's getting closer and closer to getting back on the field, on the practice field. Good spirits. We talked. So, everything’s good."
At the time of the injury, his hamstring ailment was expected to keep him out "week-to-week." There was speculation he could suit up in Week 6, but he did not play for Las Vegas in the blowout loss the Pittsburgh.
Whether or not he plays for the Raiders again remains to be seen. Adams let the organization know he would "prefer" a trade out of Las Vegas, however, the team is reportedly in "no rush" to trade him.
If he's healthy enough in Week 7 for the Raiders game against the Rams, then Adams will be playing for Las Vegas.
"When he’s healthy and we can play him, we’ll play him," Pierce said. "He's just not healthy right now. He's getting closer; that’s the good part. He's working every day to get that hamstring right. He’s in the right headspace, mentally. Like I said, we talked recently and had a good conversation and he’s ready to play football."
