Colin Cowherd is no stranger to delivering incorrect information live on the air.
While he may have been factually right this time around, it doesn't take away from the fact that a little more research needs to be done on his show.
During Tuesday's "The Herd with Colin Cowherd", the Fox Sports personality was discussing which recent first-round quarterbacks he felt can win a Super Bowl. Included in the segment were 20 names of signal-callers who Cowherd declared would never win a championship. One of the names was Dwayne Haskins, the No. 15 overall pick by Washington in 2019.
Haskins died in April 2022 after he was struck by a truck in South Florida. The former Ohio State standout was 24 years old, having just finished his third season in the NFL and first with the Steelers.

It's certainly not the first time Cowherd and his crew have made a mistake on-air, and likely won't be the last.
Cowherd caught flak last month for suggesting that the Angels should trade star pitcher/DH Shohei Ohtani at the trade deadline for "a bevy of picks." The problem is that MLB teams aren't allowed to trade draft picks.
It's unclear whether Cowherd was simply looking at the quarterbacks graphic and read the first names he saw, or he willingly added Haskins' name to his verbal list. Regardless, his inclusion sparked immediate backlash on social media.
Dwayne Haskins death
In the early morning of April 9, 2022, Haskins was struck by a dump truck while attempting to cross Interstate 595 near Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Mr. Haskins was walking on a limited access facility Highway/expressway for unknown reasons," the Florida Highway Patrol said in a statement. "He was attempting to cross the westbound lanes of Interstate 595 when there was oncoming traffic. Unfortunately, he collided with an oncoming dump truck."
According to DK Pittsburgh Sports, Haskins was driving to the Ft. Lauderdale airport to return to Pittsburgh. He had stopped his vehicle to get out when he was hit by the truck.
"He was attempting to cross the westbound lanes of Interstate 595 when there was oncoming traffic," Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman Lt. Indiana Miranda said in an emailed statement.
