Commanders fans that couldn't wait to see life after Dan Snyder will have to wait a little longer.
Severe weather is making its way through the Cleveland area, which has delayed kickoff of the Week 1 preseason contest. Prior to the lightning, Sam Howell was getting set to make his preseason debut as he tries to win the starting job over Jacoby Brissett heading into opening week of the regular season.

On the flip side, the Browns are entering their second contest of the preseason after walking away victorious against the Jets at the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio. Unfortunately for the Browns, this is their second delay in as many weeks, after the lights went out during the second half in Canton.
Deshaun Watson was expected to get the start as Cleveland continues to work towards their season opener against a divisional foe — Cincinnati Bengals — in just a few weeks.
This contest has lacked intrigue in comparison to Friday night's other games, but Dorian Thompson-Robinson's presence should make this one worth staying up for whenever it resumes.
The Sporting News is tracking weather updates in Cleveland as fans await kickoff of the Commanders and Browns.
