Andy Reid is a known food connoisseur, but he might have some competition in the Chiefs locker room.
Reid spoke a bit at the NFL Combine about how the attention surrounding Taylor Swift affected the team during the regular season, telling NBC Sports' Mike Florio and Chris Simms that he believes Swift actually viewed spending time at games as an escape. How does he know? Pop-Tarts.
Swift made homemade Pop-Tarts for the Chiefs' offensive linemen during the season, Reid explained, giving her a chance to show off her baking skills in addition to her well-known ability as a performer.
How good were they? Reid doesn't know because he wasn't able to have any. "She didn't give me one, and the offensive linemen definitely didn't give me one," Reid said.

That the players wouldn't give any up for their championship head coach might be the best indication of how good Swift's homemade Pop-Tarts were.

The Chiefs finished 11-6 in the regular season, their worst mark in the Patrick Mahomes era after the offense struggled to find a rhythm for much of the year. That didn't matter in the end, of course. Kansas City won a second consecutive Super Bowl despite playing just one home playoff game, cementing a modern-day dynasty.
Still, questions began to bubble up during the season regarding whether the attention created by Travis Kelce's relationship with Swift was a distraction of any kind. Reid clearly doesn't believe so, and the new Lombardi Trophy in the Chiefs' facility backs up that sentiment.
With Reid officially returning for the 2024 season and a new contract in the works, Swift might owe the three-time Super Bowl champion a Pop-Tart or two in the fall.
