Brock Purdy may be one of the most underrated and under-respected quarterbacks in NFL. After being selected by the 49ers with the very last selection in the 2022 NFL Draft, Purdy once again finds himself competing for a spot in the Super Bowl.
But he's not the only Purdy taking the field in the Bay Area. While Brock Purdy will continue to suit up in San Francisco, his brother will also join him not so far away at San José State University.
The younger Purdy announced his pledge to the Spartans after most recently taking the field for the Cornhuskers.

Who is Chubba Purdy?
Chubba Purdy is the younger brother of Brock Purdy. Chubba recently transferred to San Jose State. Originally a four-star recruit from Gilbert (AZ) Perry, he spent the first two seasons of his career at Florida State and the past two years at Nebraska.
During his high school career, Purdy sat behind his older brother for two seasons before taking over as the starter. In his junior season, Chubba threw for 3,425 yards and 36 touchdowns, adding 1,152 rushing yards and 23 rushing touchdowns.
It was a fantastic season for Perry. Purdy lead the team to an 11–3 record and a 6A state championship game appearance. His senior season was even better, as he was named Arizona Offensive Player of the Year, recording 4,423 total yards from the line of scrimmage with 52 total touchdowns.
That year, Perry made it to the quarterfinals of the 6A state playoffs, but lost 70-63 to Desert Vista.
At FSU, he appeared in four games and made one start, throwing for 317 yards with 4 touchdowns and 1 interception. He faced adversity early on as a freshman in 2020, suffering a collarbone injury that required surgery.
At Nebraska, Purdy saw a bit more action, appearing in 12 games with four starts.
He threw for 529 yards with 2 touchdowns and 6 interceptions for the Cornhuskers, also using his legs to record 353 rushing yards with 3 rushing touchdowns.
