When you tune in to watch French professional basketball club Metropolitans 92, you'll be in awe of Victor Wembanyama's game as well as one of his teammates' names.

Coming off the bench for Metropolitans 92 is veteran forward Steeve Ho You Fat, who is entering his second season with the club and his 14th season of professional basketball.

As you might expect, the Ho You Fat surname has made headlines since Metropolitans 92 took center stage on ESPN2 as part of an exhibition showcase with the G League Ignite. It even resulted in a viral moment during the broadcast.

Who is Steeve Ho You Fat?

Steeve Ho You Fat is a French professional basketball player that was born in French Guiana. Throughout the course of his professional career, Ho You Fat has played for a number of French clubs, beginning his career with Cholet Basket in 2008.

After playing for Chorale Roanne Basket from 2019 to 2021, Ho You Fat joined Metropolitans 92 ahead of the 2021-22 season. Per eurobasket.com, Ho You Fat stands at 6-foot-8 and weighs in at a shade under 200 pounds. He is listed as a power forward.

While Ho You Fat's Instagram handle is @ho.you.fat, his full surname is listed as "Hoyoufat" in his bio.

Among his six posts is a picture of him competing against longtime NBA veteran and fellow Frenchman Boris Diaw.

While it is spelled as one word in his Instagram profile, Ho You Fat's surname is always listed as three names on his jerseys and within media materials, which catches the attention of anyone who might notice. 

Knicks guard Evan Fournier, another fellow Frenchman, was very amused by the worldwide discovery of Ho You Fat.

The attention doesn't seem to be fazing Ho You Fat, who has taken to Instagram and had some fun with those that have taken notice. After the first exhibition against the Ignite, he reshared content to his story and added an original story post reading, "Looks like they really want that jersey #hoyoufat."
