What is Russell Westbrook's injury?

Westbrook left the Lakers' win over the Hornets on Jan. 2 with left foot soreness.

It's not clear when Westbrook suffered or aggravated the injury, but he exited the game with 1:30 remaining in the second quarter and did not return in the second half.

“I just got the report that he got foot soreness at halftime,” Lakers head coach Darvin Ham said. “As a staff, we just decided to shut him down.”

Westbrook finished with two points, four rebounds and two assists on 1-for-8 shooting in 11 minutes of play.

As Lakers beat reporter Mike Trudell noted, it's not a new injury for Westbrook, who missed back-to-back games in December with left foot soreness.
