The Knicks rebounded Tuesday night in Game 5, regaining control of their best-of-seven series on their home floor with a 121-91 rout against the Pacers, highlighted by Jalen Brunson's 44-point outing.

New York showed no signs of fatigue after dropping back-to-back games in Gainbridge Fieldhouse, which included Game 4 and a rather forgettable performance from Brunson at best.

Now, things look different in New York, as the Knicks are one win away from the Eastern Conference finals, which would be their first trip since 2000. The Knicks can do just that with a win Friday night, making those series some three decades ago all too familiar.

After the win, Brunson said Tuesday night during his post-game scrum that the Knicks' goal remains the same regardless of the immense pressure they may be under.

"I think as a team, no matter what the situation is, we have the same mindset no matter what,” Brunson told reporters. “And regardless of how I’m feeling or someone else is feeling, we know what’s at stake, we know what we have to do, and we’re going to figure it out.”

Figuring it out was something the Pacers failed to do, shooting just 44.4 percent from beyond the arc and surrendering a game-high 18 turnovers. In an inverse of Game 4, the Knicks pounded the Pacers into submission, leaving them on the brink of elimination against their old nemesis as the series shifts back to Indianapolis.
