Even without Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks managed to pull out a Game 1 victory against the Pacers in the first round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs, cruising to a 109-94 win and taking a 1-0 series lead.
Damian Lillard exploded for 35 points, all of which came in the first half, and Khris Middleton (23 points, 10 rebounds) and Bobby Portis (15 points, 11 rebounds) had double-doubles. The Bucks shot 47.1 percent from the field and 37.8 percent from 3-point range, and they held a high-powered Pacers offense under 100 points.
Pascal Siakam was the lone bright spot for the Pacers, racking up 36 points on 15-of-25 shooting from the field and collecting 13 rebounds. Indiana star Tyrese Haliburton had a quiet playoff debut, scoring just nine points in 38 minutes.
The Bucks will likely be without Antetokounmpo in Game 2, as he is listed as doubtful on the team's official injury report. Lillard must continue to be aggressive offensively in order to prevent Indiana from taking one in Milwaukee.
