Ben Simmons made his return to Philadelphia, taking on the 76ers for the first time since being traded to Brooklyn, but he couldn't get the win on his old home court as the 76ers rallied to secure a 115-106 victory. 

Despite missing James Harden, Tyrese Maxey, and James Harden, the short-handed 76ers put their depth to good use with five players scoring in double figures led by Tobias Harris' 24 points, 18 of which came in the second half. 

The 76ers brought their hard hats tonight, dominating the glass as they outrebounded the Nets 20-4 on the offensive glass and outscored them 25-7 in second-chance points.

Kyrie Irving led the Nets with 23 points, while Kevin Durant added 20. Simmons finished with 11 points, 11 assists, seven rebounds, and three steals as the Nets fall to 8-10 on the season, while the 76ers improve to 9-8.

9:51 p.m. — Tobias Harris scored 18 of his 24 points in the second half to propel the 76ers to victory. 

9:50 p.m. — That's a wrap from Philly as the short-handed 76ers rally to walk away with a nine-point win. 

9:43 p.m — Shake Milton's tip-in puts the 76ers up 111-97 and the Nets wave the white flag, bringing their starters out of the game. 

9:40 p.m. —Royce O'Neale drains a much-needed triple for the Nets to cut the deficit to 105-96 with 4:32 remaining. 

9:35 p.m. — What has gotten into Tobais Harris?!?! He's taken over the game down the stretch for the 76ers.

9:30 p.m. — The 76ers extra efforts on the glass are making all the difference here as they extend their lead to 96-87. Timeout Brooklyn.

9:25 p.m. — The Nets are running a super-small lineup to start the fourth with Mills, Irving, Harris, Curry, and Claxton on the floor.

9:11 p.m. — Joe Harris drills his first triple of the game to put the Nets in front 77-75.

9:06 p.m. — Seth Curry is fouled by Georges Niang on a 3-point attempt, but Doc Rivers is challenging the call.

8:47 p.m. — Tobias Harris goes down after rolling his ankle on a move to the basket. After heading back to the locker room, he's back on the 76ers bench.

It's been an entertaining first half in Philly with the 76ers taking a six-point lead into the break.

DeAnthony Melton leads the way with 14 points, while Georges Niang has 11 off the bench and Paul Reed 10.

Kevin Durant has 14 points, Nic Claxton 10, while Simmons, Curry and Irving have nine points apiece.

8:31 p.m. — Melton gets payback, knocking down his fourth triple of the game ahead of the buzzer. 

8:30 p.m. — Great defensive play from Simmons as he gets the steal on Melton for a wide open KD jam. 

8:28 p.m. — Niang and Simmons are getting into it in the paint. Niang is assessed a Flagrant 1 for his trouble, sending Simmons to the free throw line. He splits a pair and continues jawing with Niang.

8:26 p.m. — Niang with another triple!! The 76ers are now 9-of-18 from 3 in the first half. 

8:22 p.m. — The Nets are starting to find their stroke from deep with Patty Mills and Seth Curry helping reduce the deficit. 

8:20 p.m. — Montrezl Harrell giving the 76ers some second chance opportunities with his offensive rebounds. All five of his rebounds have come on the offensive glass.

After trailing by eight points early, the 76ers turned things around to take a seven-point lead into the first break.

7:55 p.m. — Another bucket for Niang to cap a 7-0 run for the 76ers and he makes sure to let Durant know about it.

7:53 p.m. — Georges Niang drills the triple to give the 76ers a 29-24 lead. They're 3-point shooting is making the difference in Q1, currently 5-of-7 from deep.

7:50 p.m. — Ben Simmons heads to the bench with 4:07 remaining in the first. He's got four points and four assists.

7:44 p.m. — The Nets are dialed in to start the game, shooting 80 percent from the floor (8-of-10). Scores tied at 18 apiece. Seth Curry and Joe Harris check in for Brooklyn.

7:41 p.m. — Ben Simmons gets to the free throw line and knocks down both as the crowd lets him hear it.
