A rising contender at 28 years old, Sergey Spivak is ready to spoil Ciryl Gane's homecoming on September 2 when the UFC returns to France.

UFC Paris airs on ESPN+ in the U.S. and takes place at the Accor Arena.

Since joining the UFC in 2019, Spivak has gone 7-3 in the octagon and is on a four-fight win streak. The Moldovan has beaten top fighters like Augusto Sakai and Derrick Lewis, the latter in February. Ranked seventh in the heavyweight rankings, Spivak is ready to move past Gane and fight for gold.

“To be honest, this is nothing special,” Spikvak told the UFC about facing Gane in Paris. “It’s just a fight to me. This fight, to me, is just a next fight in my career, against an opponent who is ranked higher than me in the world rankings. I just need to keep marching forward. I just need to win.”

Gane, ranked second, is coming off a quick loss at the hands of Jon Jones in March. For the UFC heavyweight title, this was his second time coming up short for gold. Competing in France for the first time since September 2022, Gane looks to get back on track.
