Sometimes, all you have to do is own up to being emotional.
Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm had a horrendous night Monday, committing three throwing errors in as many innings. When he finally made a routine play to get an out, he got a sarcastic standing ovation from the Philadelphia crowd, prompting an utterly outstanding camera shot of him mouthing "I f—ing hate this place."

To his credit, Bohm owned it after the game, saying "emotions got the best" of him.
For his honesty, Bohm was rewarded with a massive ovation when he stepped up to the plate for the first time Tuesday night.

Say what you will about Philadelphia, but the fans can take it as well as dish it out. That's commendable. Bohm's honesty was the kind of brutal honesty the city rewards as a sports town.

Just think about the moments that catch fire with regard to Philadelphia sports. The man on the local news who mentioned Nelson Agholor in reference to catching babies, the city's insane reaction to the Eagles' Super Bowl win, Gritty. If you keep it real, you can make it in Philadelphia.
That doesn't look like it's going to be a problem from Bohm, although we'll see how long the good will lasts if his woes on defense continue.
