Real Madrid and Barcelona head to New Jersey as El Clasico takes place on U.S. soil at MetLife Stadium to continue their preseason preparations.

Carlo Ancelotti’s squad were defeated by AC Milan earlier this week, while Barcelona drew with Pep Guardiola's Manchester City before ultimately winning the match during a penalty shootout.

With LaLiga set to kick off on August 18, Madrid, the reigning Spanish and European champions look to find their form. 

Hansi Flick will be starting his first full season with Barcelona, which means he’ll be leading the team in his first El Clasico.

Real Madrid vs. Barcelona predicted lineups, starting 11, team news

Ancelotti is still without some key names as part of the USA tour this summer with Kylian Mbappe still away on a post Euro 2024 break.

Brazilian duo Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes have joined up with the squad in recent days, and may start on the bench, but compatriot Endrick Felipe should start again.

New signing Kylian Mbappe remains on holiday after captaining France to the semifinals of Euro 2024 and will not feature in any of the preseason games. 

Real Madrid predicted XI (4-3-3 right to left): Courtois (GK) — Vazquez, Vallejo, Militao, Garcia — Modric, Ceballos, Paz — Guler, Endrick, Diaz.

Flick is also balancing squad returns during the tour, but teenage superstar Lamine Yamal is absent, with Pedri and Frenkie de Jong injured.

Real Madrid tour squad for 2024 preseason

Carlo Ancelotti has named a 26-man squad including many academy players as he prepares his side for the upcoming season.

Those not traveling are Ferland Mendy, Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, Jude Bellingham, and Dani Carvajal, who will join in time for the European Super Cup as they rest up following the European Championship. 

Goalkeepers: Courtois, Lunin and Fran González

Defenders: Militao, Lucas Vazquez, Vallejo, Fran Garcia, Rudiger, Jacobo Ramon, Lorenzo, Obrador, Asencio and Joan Martinez.

Midfielders: Modric, Arda Guler, Ceballos, Nico Paz, Mario Martin, Palacios and Jeremy de Leon.

Forwards: Vini Jr., Rodrygo, Endrick, Brahim, Latasa and Alvaro Rodriguez.

Barcelona tour squad for 2024 preseason

Raphinha and Ilkay Gundogan have only just joined the squad meanwhile, Barcelona’s injured players - Pedri, Frenkie de Jong, Gavi, Ronald Araujo, and Ansu Fati - will remain at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper training ground to continue their rehabilitation.

Goalkeepers: Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Inaki Pena, Ander Astralaga, Diego Kochen

Defenders: Alejandro Balde, Inigo Martinez, Andreas Christensen, Jules Kounde, Julian Araujo, Clement Lenglet, Hector Fort, Alex Valle, Mikayil Faye, Gerard Martin, Andrés Cuenca, Sergi Domínguez, Alexis Olmedo.

Midfielders: Oriol Romeu, Ilkay Gundogan, Pablo Torre, Marc Casado, Unai Hernandez, Marc Bernal, Noah Darvich, Guille Fernández, Quim Junyent
