Scottie Scheffler was back to form on Sunday.
The world No. 1 golfer got off to a slow start in the fourth round of the 2024 PGA Championship, and it appeared he was headed for a repeat of his 2-over from the third round that dropped him out of contention.
However, Scheffler turned things around eventually, and he ended the day as one of the hottest golfers in the field. He had five birdies in the back nine and seven total, all coming after he carded a bogey on the first hole of the afternoon.
It wasn't enough for Scheffler to climb to the top of the leaderboard, with several golfers still five or more strokes up on him, but it did allow him to re-enter the top 10 by the time he went back to the clubhouse.

Scheffler's trip to Louisville for the 2024 PGA Championship has been anything but normal.
He kicked off the weekend with a stellar showing in the first round of the tournament, but ahead of Friday's second round, he was arrested on his way into Valhalla Golf Club after trying to drive around the scene of a traffic accident. He spent a short time in jail before returning to the course and turning in a 5-under performance.
On Saturday, the adrenaline seemingly caught up with Scheffler. The 27-year-old shot 2-over, snapping a run of 41 consecutive rounds in which he finished at par or better. The round also included him hitting a bogey or worse on three straight holes, the first time he had done that since 2022.
Scheffler fell down the leaderboard, dropping 20 spots from fourth after the second round to tied for 24th.
