Alongside the four major tournaments that take place each year, the Ryder Cup is arguably golf's most iconic tournament.
Played every other year, the competition pits Team Europe against the USA with 24 players battling it out across a varied format of matches.
In 2023, some of the best golfers in the world will take part in the event at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club on the outskirts of Rome in Italy.
But like in other tournaments, do players receive money for winning the Ryder Cup? The Sporting News is on hand to bring you all the info.

Ryder Cup prize money
Even though the Ryder Cup is one of the sport's most well-known competitions, golfers who play in the tournament don't receive any prize money.
That's right, $0 and that's even if their team wins.
That doesn't tell the whole story though, as players do receive compensation in other ways.
According to reports, the PGA gifts each member of Team America with $200,000 that they donate to the charity or charities of their choosing. Half of that amount goes to set organisations, including the Boys & Girls Club of America, the Drive, Chip, & Putt Championship, and the PGA Junior League.
As for Team Europe, it's become a tradition for their captain to give each player a gift for their participation. For example, back in 2018 when Europe won the tournament in France, captain Thomas Bjorn bought each of his team a personalised Rolex.
It remains to be seen if 2023 captain Luke Donald will carry on the tradition this time around.
