After taking his third World Drivers' Championship title in succession in Qatar last time out, Max Verstappen will now turn his attentions towards beating his own record of winning the most races in a single season.
Currently at 14 chequered flag finishes this season, another win here in Texas would see the Dutchman equal his own record that he set in 2022 with four races to spare.
This weekend could also see the Red Bull driver extend his record of winning the most sprint races in Formula One history though he saw McLaren's Oscar Piastri win the last one two weeks ago.

It's the British constructor who remain Red Bull's closest competitors heading into the final stages of the season. Piastri and teammate Lando Norris have been in fine form of late with the latter finishing on the podium in the last three Grand Prix.
Elsewhere, Sergio Perez is in desperate need on a good result in the US as his position becomes more and more precarious with Red Bull, whilst Ferrari's Carlos Sainz will hope for a better outcome this weekend after a car fault meant that he missed the prior race.
Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, Charles Leclerc and Fernando Alonso also all remain in the hunt for their first win of the season.
