Max Verstappen arrives in Hungary looking to win his seventh consecutive Formula One race after he took the chequered flag again last time out at the British Grand Prix.
Red Bull's Dutch driver won for the first time at the Hungaroring last year and he'll be looking to replicate that winning feeling this weekend as he bids to claim the 44th victory of his career.
This weekend, there'll be a substantial chasing pack, though, especially as McLaren flexed their new car upgrades to great effect at Silverstone. On that occasion, Lando Norris came home in P2 — the joint-best finish of his career — whilst Australian rookie Oscar Piastri came P4.
Alongside those two, Mercedes pair Lewis Hamilton and George Russell continue to perform, whilst Verstappen's teammate Sergio Perez will be desperate to find form and finish strongly in Hungary. The trio of Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonso could also spring a surprise on Sunday.

F1 Hungarian Grand Prix 2023: Best bet
- Pick: Verstappen To Win, Hamilton Podium & Leclerc Top 6 Finish
- Odds: 7/2 (SkyBet)
Given his stunning form in 2023, it's difficult to see anything but another Verstappen victory in Hungary this weekend.
With six consecutive wins under his belt after taking the chequered flag at Silverstone last time out, his connection with this season's Red Bull car seems unstoppable and, given his victory at last year's Hungarian Grand Prix, it's unlikely his winning streak will break this weekend.
As for the rest of the bet — which is where the value of this selection comes from — Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes seem well placed to extend his podium finishes at the Hungaroring. He finished P3 during his home race last weekend, taking advantage of other teams' poor form, and he's finished on the podium in five straight races in Mogyorod.
Leclerc has been in poor form himself of late but is likely to feature in a battle for a top-six finish this weekend. He's only managed four such finishes across 10 races this season but, with the right strategy, Ferrari should prove stronger at this circuit given that it suits their car much better than some prior grands prix.
F1 Hungarian Grand Prix 2023: Prop bet
- Pick: Pierre Gasly to finish above teammate Esteban Ocon
- Odds: -110 (BetMGM)
Although Esteban Ocon won this race back in 2021 for Alpine during a thrilling contest, we're picking his teammate Pierre Gasly to finish as the higher of the two during this Sunday's race.
The French duo have consistently exchanged higher finishes in both qualifying and on race days this season but Gasly has held fantastic pedigree around the Hungaroring throughout his Formula One career.
Across his prior five races at this venue for Toro Rosso, Red Bull and AlphaTauri combined, he's taken three top-six finishes, though his other two did return a P12 finish and a DNF.
Ocon has also raced five times at this track in F1. Aside from his victory in 2021, only twice has he finished in the points — both P9 finishes — with the other two grands prix seeing him finish well outside the top 10.
F1 Hungarian Grand Prix 2023: Flier bet
- Pick: Daniel Ricciardo to finish in a points position
- Odds: 9/4 (SkyBet)
Much excitement has been felt around the paddock at the return of veteran Aussie driver Daniel Ricciardo who has replaced rookie Nyck De Vries and will debut with AlphaTauri in Hungary this weekend.
The 34-year-old may have left the sport at the end of last season after a couple of underwhelming years with McLaren but, with the experience he has, it's easy to see why he was loaned to the team by Red Bull for the remainder of this season.

Throughout his career in the sport, Ricciardo has returned 132 points finishes in 232 races (56.9%) and with his new team, we're going to back him to add to that tally on Sunday.
Granted, AlphaTauri have struggled in 2023, but teammate Yuki Tsunoda has shown that the car does have pace on occasion. His two P10 and three P11 finishes highlight a car just on the brink of the top 10 and, with Ricciardo at the wheel, we're backing him to take points on his return.
