Since its inaugural season in 2011, the WSL has been dominated by Chelsea and Arsenal, with nine of the 12 titles ending up in North or West London.

Emma Hayes' Blues are the defending champions heading into the new campaign and they are favourites to clinch a fourth straight league title.

WSL 2022/23: TV details, how to watch

The 2022/23 WSL season will be available to watch in the UK via the FA Player, a dedicated streaming service for women's football. Selected games will also be broadcast by Sky Sports and BBC Sport.

WSL 2022/23: Key dates

The Women's Super League starts on Saturday, September 10 with a match between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United at 12.30 p.m. BST. The 2022/23 season will run until the weekend of May 27/28, 2023.

The Women's League Cup group stage begins in October, with the final scheduled for the weekend of March 4/5, 2023.

The Women's FA Cup begins with the first qualifying round on September 11, with the first round proper scheduled for November 13. The final takes place on May 14, 2023.

England Euro winners in the 2022/23 WSL

Wiegman's squad returned to the clubs as heroes following an incredible performance for the national team this summer, although key pair Lucy Bronze and Georgia Stanway will be playing their club football for Barcelona and Bayern Munich respectively.
