Why was Tottenham vs Nottingham Forest match moved?
Spurs against Forest was due to take place on Monday, April 8 at 20:00 BST but was moved forward at less than two week’s notice due to strikes affecting the London Underground and train services. The local authority responsible for the area surrounding Tottenham's stadium deemed it was not safe to stage the game as planned.
A statement from the Premier League read: "The change has been made due to matters beyond the League's control, namely the decision to implement rail and tube strikes on Monday, April 8 and the subsequent reduction in available travel services.
"This has resulted in the local authority's Safety Advisory Group determining that it is not possible to stage the match with the required levels of safety for attending fans."
