Real Madrid host Sevilla on February 25 as Carlo Ancelotti's side continue their push for the La Liga title this season.

Los Blancos are currently leading the way at the top of the table with a healthy lead over second place Girona as Barcelona and Atletico Madrid trail in third and fourth place.

Ancelotti will be looking to balance his squad in the coming weeks with the veteran Italian confident of a two-pronged assault on La Liga and the Champions League during the campaign run in.

Struggling Sevilla find themselves on the edge of the relegation battle with Quique Sanchez Flores taking charge to try and steady the ship.

Real Madrid vs Sevilla lineups, team news

Ancelotti is still without Antonio Rudiger and Jude Bellingham through injury but Ferland Mendy returns from a one-game ban.

Mendy's comeback is offset by two fresh suspensions with Dani Carvajal and Eduardo Camavinga missing out this weekend.

Real Madrid starting lineup (4-3-3): Lunin (GK) — Vazquez, Tchouameni Nacho, Mendy — Valverde, Modric, Kroos — Rodrygo, Joselu, Vinicius Jr.

Real Madrid subs: TBC

Sanchez Flores is without a host of key players as he looks to plot a path towards top-flight safety.

Marcos Acuna and Nemanja Gudelj are expected to shake off minor injuries in time to start but Erik Lamela, Rafa Mir and Lucas Ocampos are still sidelined.

Sevilla starting lineup (3-5-2): Nyland (GK) — Bade, Ramos, Salas — Navas, Sow, Soumare, Oliver, Acuna — En-Nesyri, Romero.

Sevilla subs: TBC

Real Madrid vs Sevilla prediction

Ancelotti knows Real Madrid can have the best of both worlds in the weeks ahead with a La Liga title within their grasp with enough flexibility to then focus on the Champions League.

Ten wins and two draws at home in league action this season demonstrates their strength, even without some key names, but Sevilla's unbeaten four-game run puts them in a strong position to avoid relegation.

Prediction: Real Madrid 2-0 Sevilla
