Cristiano Ronaldo could take a significant step towards sending more records tumbling when Portugal aim to seal UEFA Euro 2024 qualification on Friday.

Victory for the Selecao at home to Slovakia would guarantee Ronaldo a record-extending sixth appearance at the finals if he is selected, which would also allow the Al Nassr striker the opportunity to take his tally at the tournament beyond 25 goals — currently six more than any other player in history.

A positive result for the visitors would keep Slovakia in strong contention to claim the second qualifying place they currently occupy in Group J. Portugal, however, have won six consecutive matches without conceding a goal since the 2022 World Cup, so toppling them on home soil looks a tall order.

The Sporting News looks at the key details ahead of this game, including how to watch it across the world, kickoff times and the latest lineup news.

Portugal have won their past eight European Championship qualifiers without conceding a goal, including the reverse fixture 1-0, which was Slovakia's only defeat in their previous nine qualifying matches.
