France vs. Belgium lineups, team news

Michael Olise received his first call-up for France for this round of UEFA Nations League fixtures and started in the loss against Italy. He could lose out his starting place to Ousmane Dembele.

There could be a shake-up in the backline for France after they conceded three goals to Italy, with Jules Kounde and Dayot Upamecano potentially starting against Belgium

France predicted XI (4-2-3-1, right to left): Maignan(GK) — Kounde, Saliba, Konate, T. Hernandez — Kante, Zaire-Emery — Dembele, Griezmann, Barcola — Mbappe.

Injured: None
Suspended: None

Belgium should remain largely unchanged from their victory against Israel. Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois continues to be an absentee due to his rift with manager Domenico Tedesco. The Red Devils will also be missing all-time top scorer Romelu Lukaku who has been rested for this round of games.

Tedesco's side will continue to be led by veteran midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, who will be supported by Manchester City teammate Jeremy Doku and lone striker Lois Openda up front.

Belgium predicted XI (4-2-3-1, right to left): Casteels(GK) — Castagne, Faes, Theate, De Cuyper — Onana, Tielemans — Bakayoko, De Bruyne, Doku — Openda.

Injured: None
Suspended: None

France vs. Belgium Prediction

Although France come into this game on the back of a loss to Italy, they hold the psychological and historical edge over Belgium, having won the last three matches between the two.

Belgium were impressive for the most part against Israel, however, they still have some defensive concerns which could be exploited by France's talented frontline.

  • Prediction: France 2-1 Belgium
