After nine years with Scottish giants Celtic, Australian midfielder Tom Rogic will be playing for a new club next season.
The 29-year-old returned to career-best form in 2022 under the guidance of Hoops manager Ange Postecoglou.
Rogic was linked with a move to the Middle East last year after struggling in a disappointing 2020-21 campaign for Celtic.
Despite having a year left on his deal in Scotland, the Aussie has been released and faces a big decision over the coming weeks.
Could Tom Rogic move to the Premier League?
Rogic has long been tipped to one day sign for a Premier League club after regularly turning heads with Celtic.
In 2016, it was reported that Arsenal had been scouting the Socceroo for over a year but no move eventuated.
Six years on and Mark Schwarzer believes Rogic could still cut it in England's top-flight based upon the season he's just had.
"I'd love to see him at somewhere like a Brentford. Or maybe even something like an Aston Villa maybe," Schwarzer said on Optus Sport's The GegenPod Football Podcast.
"I don't think Newcastle would be in the market for someone like him. Maybe a Fulham, maybe something like that.
"I'd love to see him give it a go in the Premier League. It's almost like sticking his neck out a little bit.
"He could easily take the easier option of going, and I say this with the most respect as possible, but go somewhere like Asia and cash in.
"I hope he stays in Europe. I hope he tries to get to the highest possible level in Europe. I hope he doesn't pick the MLS or Asia at this time. I think he's still got a minimum two, three years at a top level."
Former Newcastle and Leeds striker Michael Bridges added: "I'd like to see him get into a Premier League football club. I think he still has something to offer.
"Who that might be, I'm not too sure. I'd love to see him at Newcastle...I could see him fitting into a Brighton team and I could also see him fitting into a Leeds United team.
"He's never given Celtic any dramas, he's never given the Socceroos any dramas. He ticks all the boxes for what clubs will look at and hopefully we do see him in the Premier League."
💬 "I’m very fortunate that I’ve had great times here and I would say that the opportunity to play week-in, week-out at Celtic Park is something I won’t take for granted."🍀

What has Tom Rogic said about his future after Celtic?
After playing his final game for the Hoops on May 14, Rogic declared he's in no rush to decide where he'll be playing next.
"I feel like now's really not the right time. I'll just reflect on the career I've had here," Rogic told Channel 10.
"I am ready for a new challenge and a change of scene is something that would motivate me.
"I think I'll sit down with my agent in the coming weeks and discuss our options."
The 29-year-old did, however, say that it's "unlikely" that he would return to play in Australia anytime soon having previously lined up for Central Coast Mariners and Melbourne Victory.
