Australia is set to be host to a swag of elite football teams once again with English Premier League sides Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United to play a friendly at the MCG.
The match will see Spurs' Aussie coach Ange Postecoglou return to his home city of Melbourne for the second consecutive off-season.
Tottenham were always coming to Australia this pre-season but the opponent for the match has been up in the air.

Spurs are coached by Australian tactician Ange Postecoglou, who has also managed the Socceroos, Brisbane Roar and Melbourne Victory.
He has also employed former Socceroos and Crystal Palace skipper Mile Jedinak as an assistant coach.
Off the field, Tottenham's chief football officer is Australia's Scott Munn.
Munn was CEO at A-League side Melbourne City, before moving on to the same role for City Football Group in China.
