Juventus have serious work to do if they are to knock off European specialists Sevilla and reach the Europa League final.

The Italian side were locked down for long stretches of the first leg in Turin last week, only grabbing a last-gasp equaliser to see the aggregate scoreline level at 1-1. Now, they travel to Spain needing a much-improved performance over the next 90 minutes.

Sevilla have not only rescued their season domestically over the past few weeks, but they are on the precipice of another European final. They last won this competition three years ago, defeating two Serie A teams along the way.

The Spanish side rested talisman striker Youssef En-Nesyri over the weekend in league play and still managed to smash Real Valladolid 3-0, so they are on an absolute tear, all the way up to 10th in the league table despite relegation worries mere months ago. This will be a tall task for Juventus.

Sevilla vs Juventus prediction, odds

  • Moneyline lean: Sevilla (+145)
  • Score prediction: Sevilla 1-0 Juventus

The Spanish side should have emerged from Turin with a hard-fought victory, only for Federico Gatti to score the messiest of goals in the 97th minute.

Still, Sevilla created a plethora of chances in the first leg and locked Juventus down well. If they can replicate that performance at home, they'll find themselves in yet another European final.

    Sevilla vs Juventus: best bet

    • Pick: Under 2.5 total goals
    • Odds: -145 (BetMGM)

These two teams both put up multiple goals over the weekend in league play, but in all likelihood this will be yet another pragmatic approach by both sides.

The first leg featured a hefty expected goals haul from both, but in truth, that's somewhat surprising given how the match itself played out. There were a few good chances missed, but it didn't feel like much of a barn-burner. Sevilla will be happy to put Dusan Vlahovic on an island again, and force the Juventus midfield to make up the difference.

    Sevilla vs Juventus prop bet

    • Pick: Marcos Acuna to be shown a card
    • Odds: +175 (FanDuel)

After seven players were booked in the first leg, the total card market is inflated, so selecting individual players is probably a better idea.

It's a wonder that Marcos Acuna was not one of those seven players shown a card in the first leg, as he was run ragged by Juan Cuadrado on the Sevilla left flank, forced to commit four fouls in the game. Cuadrado, meanwhile, won all 10 of his ground duels, a sensational number.

There is exceptional value on this pick, with Acuna's odds approaching 2/1 to be booked. He's been shown 12 yellow cards this season in 41 matches across all competitions, including two bookings in seven Europa League games. The Argentine full-back is a great selection to be cautioned by Dutch official Danny Makkelie, who is averaging 4.6 yellow cards across his five European games this season, a high total.
