Kylian Mbappe started things off for PSG as they took charge of their Champions League group, scoring the opener of a dominant 3-0 win over AC Milan at home, but ultimately the evening wasn’t about the France superstar.
The 17-year-old Warren Zaire-Emery took centre-stage against an energetic but disjointed Milan by collecting two assists in the victory. The Serie A side had little answer to the teenager’s brilliance.
Milan proved bright in moments as the game went back and forth throughout the 90 minutes, but they lacked quality in both boxes. In the attack, Rafael Leao was completely detached from his teammates, unsuccessful in his repeated attempts to dribble through the PSG defensive unit all by himself rather than link up with fellow forwards.
"The sky is the limit, I've never seen a player that young being so mature."

At the other end of the field, Fikayo Tomori was chewed up on Mbappe’s opener and was also at fault for what appeared to be PSG’s second, but VAR ruled out Ousmane Dembele’s strike early in the second half for a foul in the buildup.
Eventually, Randal Kolo Muani and Kang-In Lee put the game to bed. Goalkeeper Mike Maignan did all he could to keep AC Milan in the match but PSG were simply too lethal in the final third.
The three points for PSG move them top of Group F, which is living up to its billing as this season's "Group of Death," while Milan drop to the bottom, although back-to-back home games coming up mean they remain in contention for a knockout stage spot.

FULLTIME: PSG 3-0 AC Milan
In the middle third of the pitch, PSG and AC Milan were just about even, but on the two ends, it was no contest. PSG had the quality to find the back of the net, while the Italian visitors very much did not.
Warren Zaire-Emery, just 17 years of age, picks up two assists as he pulled every string for the home side in a stellar performance. The young midfielder finished 42/47 passing, creating a massive four chances and recovering eight loose balls.
2 - Warren Zaïre-Emery is the youngest player on record (since 2003/04) to register two assists in the Champions League (17 years and 231 days), surpassing Theo Walcott (17y 250 days). Gem. #PSGMilan #PSGACM pic.twitter.com/KHQNGNJOL9

PSG vs AC Milan: Second Half
90+3 min: PSG, well on their way to all three points, withdraw Achraf Hakimi, bringing on Nordi Mukiele to see this one out. Simon Kjaer enters for AC Milan, replacing Fikayo Tomori.
89th min: GOAL! PSG! Kang-In Lee has been electric off the bench for PSG in an open, back-and-forth match, and he finishes off this game with a third for the hosts!
It's brilliant from 17-year-old Warren Zaire-Emery who picks up his third assist by carrying the ball up the right and cutting back to Lee, who's wide-open inside the top of the penalty area. There's too much goal for Mike Maignan to account for, and Lee's low finish to the near post is buried.

87th min: Rafael Leao bursts into the PSG area multiple times on the ball, but each time he's ultimately dispossessed trying to dance through the entire PSG back line. He's made no effort all game to link up with his teammates. A poor performance.
Rafael Leao is playing far too much hero ball this year

82nd min: Chance, PSG! MIKE MAIGNAN TIPS KYLIAN MBAPPE'S SHOT OFF THE POST! Mbappe gets free again on the left as the Milan defence is scattered, and with a wide open look on goal, he fires towards the far post, but Maignan gets his fingertips to the ball and clips it just enough to push it wide off the post. What a stop!
81st min: Chance, AC Milan! Tomasson Pobega gets his head on the end of a corner but Gianluigi Donnarumma gets down to make a low save! Milan are knocking on the door...
79th min: Wow, PSG have gotten away with one a bit here. Yacine Adli is bodied hard off the ball by Achraf Hakimi just inside the edge of the 18-yard box, and Milan scream for a penalty. It looked very close to being worthy of a whistle, but no call is made and they play on.
78th min: Chance, AC Milan! Gianluigi Donnarumma tips Rafael Leao's effort behind for a corner! Good work by Achraf Hakimi forced Leao wider than he would have liked, which allowed Donnarumma the ability to cover his near post. PSG are hanging on as Milan throw bodies forward.
77th min: With AC Milan still lacking a goal threat, Stefano Pioli finally makes a change, bringing on the attack-minded Yacine Adli to replace Rade Krunic, while Tomasso Pobega comes on for Yunus Musah.
71st min: PSG boss Luis Enrique makes a pair of changes, bringing off Ousmane Dembele and Manuel Ugarte, to be replaced by Kang-In Lee and Fabian Ruiz. Fikayo Tomori, who's been eaten alive today one-on-one, does well this time to dispossess Kylian Mbappe in a dangerous area inside the penalty area.
67th min: Chance, AC Milan! The visitors still lack the quality in the final third necessary to breach the PSG goal, as Rafael Leao fires wide right after good play by Tijani Reijnders in midfield to spring him. Olivier Giroud then tries to chip Gianluigi Donnarumma from about 25 yards out but the Italian recovers to make an awkward but not particularly nervy save.
63rd min: Christian Pulisic goes for goal and stings the palms of Gianluigi Donnarumma, but the shot isn't well-placed enough to trouble the PSG goalkeeper who saves easily.
61st min: Fikayo Tomori's night goes from bad to worse as he's booked for a foul on Randal Kolo Muani. Then moments later Pierre Kalulu has been cautioned for taking down Kylian Mbappe right on the edge of the penalty area.
Tomori's yellow card seemed harsh, but Kalulu can have no complaints as he caught Mbappe's heel with a stamp of the studs.
58th min: Chance, PSG! MIKE MAIGNAN WITH A HUGE SAVE! He keeps the match in reach for Milan, stymying Kylian Mbappe who gets free again!
Milan make an absolute mess of a PSG counter, and Mbappe is easily able to create space in the penalty area by cutting inside onto his right, but Maignan makes himself big and stops the low effort which was too central to bypass the keeper.
53rd min: GOAL! PSG! The hosts do, in fact, have a second, this time through Randal Kolo Muani!
PSG take a corner quickly, catching Milan napping a bit. Mike Maignan does well to parry a shot by Ousmane Dembele from the left, but he's pushed the ball right into the path of the PSG striker at the far post, and he buries the easy tap-in!

This one counts. 💫 pic.twitter.com/vDOxhiWvTK
50th min: Chance, AC Milan! Christian Pulisic gets free past the PSG defence and latches onto a delivery from his own half, and he squares it to the far post where Olivier Giroud is waiting, but he can't run onto the feed until it's too late, and at such a tight angle, his shot can only find the side netting.
The match has exploded to life at the start of the second half!
48th min: Chance, PSG! Counter-attacking off an AC Milan corner, the hosts go racing down the other end of the field and double their lead! It's Ousmane Dembele who finishes it off after Fikayo Tomori gives it away cheaply. It's Tomori who is blended up by Dembele on the finish as well, in a very poor showing from the English defender.
BUT WAIT! There's a VAR review for a foul in midfield as PSG win the ball, and the goal is chalked off! AC Milan survive thanks to Manuel Ugarte who clobbers into Yunus Musah to win the ball and start the break. It's the right call, Ugarte was wildly out of control.
47th min: Look out! Gianluigi Donnarumma is caught in no-man's land, coming way out off his line to challenge Tijani Reijnders who's broken free on goal. He leaps awkwardly to punch, but the ball finds Olivier Giroud. He tries to head the ball into the net with Donnarumma well out of goal, but it's cleared off the line.
Kickoff: We're under way for the second half! There's one change for the visitors as the booked Malick Thiaw is replaced by Davide Calabria, which will move Pierre Kalulu to centre-back and install Calabria out wide right.
Stefano Pioli will have to change something up to get his team's attack going. They were missing quality in the attacking third through the opening 45 minutes, and have now gone 10 consecutive halves in Champions League play, a worrying sign as they look to get back into this game.
HALFTIME: PSG 1-0 AC Milan
A chaotic and physical first half comes to a close, with the difference being Kylian Mbappe's moment of brilliance which put PSG in front just past the half-hour mark. Poor Fikayo Tomori got the full Mbappe experience, put on roller skates for the goal.
AC Milan were solid on the counter-attack in this stacato, back-and-forth match, but didn't have the necessary quality in the final third to find a goal. Rafael Leao seems too isolated from his teammates to produce much of anything in front of net.
Mbappe is seen lighting up the official on the halftime whistle, and it's unclear what he's frustrated about, but whatever it is, he's had his say.

PSG vs AC Milan: First Half
43rd min: Nervy moments for the visitors as they give the ball away cheaply at the back, and Kylian Mbappe finds Randal Kolo Muani in space near the top of the penalty area. The shot has exceptional power, but is blocked out for a corner.
Milan clear the set-piece and look to break, forcing Ousmane Dembele to haul down Olivier Girou and absorb a yellow card. He's the fourth player booked this half, two for either side.
41st min: AC Milan have been bright throughout this half, but they haven't combined well in the attacking third. Rafael Leao has been the biggest culprit, trying to play hero ball by dribbling through multiple PSG defenders. His latest attempt to charge down the Parisians' throat is cut out about 40 yards from goal.
32nd min: GOAL! PSG! Kylian Mbappe opens the scoring at Parc des Prince! How do you defend his lightning-quick footwork???
He gets a feed from Warren Zaire-Emery outside the top of the penalty area, but still has plenty of work to do on an individual level. The French superstar faces up with Fikayo Tomori, and cuts inside onto his right before rifling a low shot to the near post that fools a rooted Mike Maignan. We're off the mark!

30th min: Chance, PSG! Kylian Mbappe sees what Rafael Leao did minutes ago and tries the same thing himself, moving centrally on the ball and rifling a long-range effort just wide right. It didn't miss by much, just curling off target!
27th min: Chance, AC Milan! Rafael Leao carries the ball down the left flank and decides to create an opportunity for himself, cutting inside on his right and firing a low, bouncing shot on goal. The effort doesn't have significant power, but it nearly evades Gianluigi Donnarumma and tucks inside the far post, only just skittering wide. The best chance of the chaotic match so far.
Rade Krunic has to come off the pitch as he's come up with a nosebleed, and is seen frantically hurrying the poor medical staff doing their best to get him back on the field.
24th min: There's a pause in the action as a pitch invader sprints towards Kylian Mbappe and gives him a hug. He's managed to get away from the stewards for a moment but is eventually brought off the field.

21st min: PSG are missing a calming presence in midfield to keep and distribute possession and maintain control over the match. If only they had someone like Marco Verratti to play that role...

— Romain Collet-Gaudin (@RomainCG75) October 25, 2023
17th min: Achraf Hakimi becomes the first PSG player and third overall in this match to earn a yellow card as he bundles Rafael Leao over on the break. It presents AC Milan with another wonderful set-piece opportunity and a possible reprise for Rafael Leao who wasted the last opportunity.
Instead, it's taken by Fikayo Tomori who hits the wall, deflecting out for a corner. The delivery from Christian Pulisic isn't good enough to beat the first man at the near post.
12th min: Vitinha commits a foul on a Milan player holding up possession in midfield, already the eighth foul of the match in just 12 minutes. What a mess.
The visitors break and Christian Pulisic is threaded through near the end line, but good goalkeeping from Gianluigi Donnarumma sees him hemmed in and a goal kick given.
8th min: Warren Zaire-Emery goes in hard to concede a Milan free-kick at the top of the penalty area, as this match has started to devolve into an early foul-fest. Rafael Leao's set-piece is cleared by Achraf Hakimi.
7th min: A minute after Thiaw is booked, Yunus Musah draws a foul by Lucas Hernandez as he breaks down the right, and AC Milan players want a booking for him too, but the Slovenian referee doesn't oblige on this occasion.
Moments later, Rade Krunic is fouled hard by Manuel Ugarte, and while he protests vehemently for a booking to the Uruguayan, instead he is cautioned for his dissent, That has backfired! Now Milan have two players on a yellow inside the opening 10 minutes.
4th min: There's a very early yellow card for Malick Thiaw, who was sent off over the weekend against Juventus and here is booked for bringing down Ousmane Dembele on the wing.
2nd min: The match has started with both teams pressing deep into the opponent's territory. It's caused each defensive unit lots of problems looking to pass out of the back, and could be a sign of a chaotic 90 minutes to come.
PSG have the first look on goal, as a cross from Ousmane Dembele down the right is cut out by Fikayo Tomori who just barely slides in ahead of a streaking Randal Kolo Muani.
Kickoff: This massive Champions League tilt is under way in Paris! The atmosphere at Parc des Princes is always electric, but PSG are likely to give it up soon, so soak it up while you can!

PSG vs AC Milan: Pre-match commentary, analysis, stats, and more
15 mins to kickoff: One last storyline to this match, Gianluigi Donnarumma will face his former club in the Champions League, having departed for PSG in the summer of 2021. He didn't exactly leave on the kindest of terms, so while he won't have to worry about it today, the return leg at the San Siro will surely feature at least a smattering of jeers, and maybe more.
The away fans here today are giving him a preview of what he'll face on a larger scale in Italy on November 7.

30 mins to kickoff: The last time these two teams matched up was a whopping 22 years ago, when they played to a pair of 1-1 draws in the 2000/01 Champions League group stage.
The goal scorers in those games are peak "remember some guys" names. PSG got goals from a 21-year-old Nicolas Anelka and journeyman Laurent Robert, while AC Milan saw Leonardo and Jose Mari find the back of the net. Current Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta played in that match!
45 mins to kickoff: AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli will take charge of his 200th game at the helm of AC Milan today. He's been at the centre of Milan's revival over the last four years, lifting them up from the doldrums of the 2010's into title contention once more. A central figure in recent Italian football, bravo.

1 hour 15 mins to kick: One person not in attendance for this huge match tonight will be PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, who reportedly had emergency knee surgery over the weekend and has been in the hospital since.
There's a lot on the line for Al-Khelaifi today. He will hope justification for the summer overhaul will be realised sooner rather than later.

1 hour 30 mins to kick: Last season, injuries forced a number of exceedingly young PSG players into action earlier than they probably would have expected. One of those players, 16-year-old Warren Zaire-Emery, looked a bit out his depth at times, unable to cope with the two-way role of playing as a true No. 8.
Still just 17, Zaire-Emery has not only retained his place in the PSG starting lineup this season, but has blossomed into a real provider up front. He has delivered the second-most final-third passes of any midfielder in Ligue 1 this season behind only teammate Vitinha, and that has translated into the Champions League too, as his 90.7 percent success rate in the attacking third is fourth-best in the competition.

1 hour 45 mins to kick: A really fascinating storyline of this match is the battle between the Hernandez brothers, with Theo on AC Milan and Lucas on PSG. The two have been regular teammates on the international level with France, but have not played together at the club level, instead going separate ways after both progressing through the Atletico Madrid youth system back in 2015.
They have never played against each other at the first-team club level before, but both are expected to be in opposite starting lineups today. Theo has been entrenched in a starting role at AC Milan this season, while Lucas has found a way into the PSG XI thanks to an injury to first-choice left-back Nuno Mendes.

2 hours to kickoff: PSG have not blown away Ligue 1 as they have in recent years, sitting third in the league through the first nine games, two points behind leaders Monaco. A big reason why is the lack of production from the striker position.
Goncalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani were two highly praised transfer additions in the summer, hoping to replace the departures of Lionel Messi and Neymar. Ramos has received the majority of playing time but has struggled to produced, with just his brace against Marseille in late September as his only goals with PSG so far.
That has led manager Luis Enrique to deploy a platoon, with Kolo Muani earning the starts in both Champions League games, and likely to do so again here. He's yet to score in those matches, but will possibly have another chance today.

PSG vs AC Milanlineups & team news
Luis Enrique is still missing some key names through injury ahead of this game with Presnel Kimpembe, Nuno Mendes and Sergio Rico still absent. Keylor Navas is also struggling with a back problem.
Teenage prodigy Warren Zaire-Emery is battling to be fit following a knee issue, but star man Kylian Mbappe is fit to lead the hosts' attack. Marco Asensio remains out with a foot injury, set to return soon but not quite yet.
There's a choice for head coach Luis Enrique to make at striker. Goncalo Ramos is really struggling up front to begin life at PSG, and there are reports that Randal Kolo Muani could be given a chance as he has in their previous two Champions League games.
PSG starting lineup (4-3-3): Donnarumma (GK) — Hakimi, Marquinhos, Skriniar, Hernandez — Ugarte, Vitinha, Zaire-Emery — Dembele, Kolo Muani, Mbappe.
PSG subs (9): Letellier (GK), Tenas, Mukiele, Danilo, F. Ruiz, K. Lee, Soler, Barcola, G. Ramos.
Germany international Malick Thiaw is set to start despite a domestic suspension, but Samuel Chukwueze, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Ismael Bennacer are all out until November through injury. Those midfield concerns could see American Yunus Musah retain his place in the lineup, although Tommaso Pobega or Yasine Adli could be deployed as well.
Goalkeeper Mike Maignan is back, and expect Christian Pulisic to start on the wing opposite Rafael Leao. At right-back, Pierre Kalulu has been slid over from his natural centre-back position to play out wide over Davide Calabria.
AC Milan starting lineup (4-3-3): Maignan (GK) — Kalulu, Thiaw, Tomori, Hernandez — Reijnders, Krunic, Reijnders — Pulisic, Giroud, Leao.
AC Milan subs (10): Nava (GK), Mirante (GK), Kjaer, Calabria, Bartesaghi, Florenzi, Adli, Pobega, Jovic, C. Traore.
