Will Paul Pogba's new team be revealed in documentary? The Pogmentary on Amazon Prime out June 17 image

Paul Pogba's incoming Amazon Prime documentary 'The Pogmentary' looks set to be must-see viewing for Manchester United fans this month.

On June 1, United confirmed their record transfer will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of June after six uninspiring seasons at Old Trafford.

Pogba's 2016 'Pogback' return to United was heralded as the opportunity for the French international to establish himself as one of world football's leading midfielders.

However, he now faces a crossroads in his career, at 29, with the documentary taking a deep dive into his United career and the highs of winning the World Cup with Les Bleus in 2018.

Who is Paul Pogba joining in 2022-23?

United's statement has intensified speculation over where Pogba will be playing next season with a free transfer expected to be wrapped up after his UEFA Nations League duty with France.

Pogba reveals in the documentary that his next move is critical to deciding his career and he will weigh up his options this month.

"I am at a turning point in my career. I have big decisions to make that will decide my future. And I have no room for error", as stated in the documentary trailer.

Serie A giants Juventus are rumoured to be the front runners to bring him back to Turin in the coming weeks with Ligue 1 and Premier League champions Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City both linked with him.

Juventus - PogBack..........Back

Reports from the Gazzetta dello Sport claim Juventus will resign Pogba on a three-year deal, worth an estimated £10 million (€11.7m/$12.6m), with former United winger Angel Di Maria also a target following his release from PSG.

This looks to be the most likely option for Pogba in the coming weeks Juventus eager to rebuild their squad to challenge Inter and Milan for the Scudetto next season.

PSG - Parisian Return

Pogba has regularly hinted at a return to the French capital, after growing up in the Parisian suburb of Lagny-sur-Marne, but PSG look to be moving their attentions elsewhere.

Kylian Mbappe's contract renewal has reduced the fan demand for a major signing but they are still expected to strengthen this summer.

If they lose out to Real Madrid in the race for AS Monaco star Aurelien Tchouameni, they could revisit Pogba as an option, but Juventus will aim to already have a deal done by then.

Manchester City - Welcome to Manchester Part II

With Pogba's United exit appearing almost certain in the final weeks of the 2021-22 Premier League season, Pep Guardiola's City emerged as a possible shock destination for him.

Links with City brought back reminders of Carlos Tevez's infamous cross-city from Old Trafford to the Etihad Stadium in 2009 and in the infamous 'Welcome to Manchester' posters which followed.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Pogba is still open to joining Guardiola's champions, and he could edge away from Juventus if City make a firm offer for him.

When is Paul Pogba's documentary due to be released?

The Pogmentary will be available via Amazon Prime's French Service (@PrimeVideoFR) from June 17, 2022.

Amazon Prime announced their plans to work with Pogba on a personalised look into his United and France career, plus a detailed focus on his off-field life, in April 2021.

There will also be reflections on his childhood in Paris and the move to Manchester as a 13-year-old after breaking through at Le Havre.

As part of a teaser to the documentary, The Athletic have released exclusive quotes from Pogba, including his criticism of United over their handling of his departure.

"My thought process now is to show Manchester they made a mistake in waiting to give me a contract", he said.

"And to show other clubs that Manchester made a mistake in not offering me a contract.

"How can you tell a player you absolutely want him and then offer him nothing?"

Georgia Brown, head of European originals at Amazon Studios, said: "Paul Pogba is one of the most prominent talents of his time, we are thrilled to collaborate with him with on overall deal and his series ‘The Pogmentary’.

"We all know Paul for what he can do on a football pitch, but his influence reaches much further, and he is without doubt an icon for an entire generation.

"Through the unprecedented access afforded to us, Prime Video shows the man behind the fame, delving into his life off the pitch and letting him tell his story in his own words."

Who are Paul Pogba's family?

Pogba was born to Guinean parents in Paris, as the youngest of three children, in 1993.

His older twin brothers are both professional footballers, playing in the lower tiers of the French football pyramid, with Florentin at Sochaux and Mathias at Belfort.

Whilst his brothers opted to play for their birth country Guinea, Paul, chose to represent his own home nation of France after a meteoric rise to join the famous Le Havre academy aged 10.

It was during his second spell at United where Pogba met his wife, Bolivian model María Zulay Salaues, reportedly in a chance encounter during United's US pre-season tour in 2017.

The pair married in 2019 and have two children together, their eldest child is named Labile Shakur (born in 2019), but the couple have opted not to publicly reveal the name of their second child (born in 2020).
