Erik ten Hag is looking for his second trophy as Manchester United boss as they host Sevilla in the 2022/23 Europa League quarterfinal first leg.

The Dutchman won the EFL Cup to begin his reign, but with both Barcelona and Arsenal out of this competition, the English giants will certainly want to add to their trophy cabinet.

Sevilla on the other hand have had a season to forget so far. They sit just five points above the drop zone in La Liga after sacking two managers, and the six-time Europa League winners finished third in their Champions League group.

United lost 2-1 to Sevilla when the two teams met in the semifinal stage of this tournament back in 2020. The Spanish side also knocked them out of the 2017/18 Champions League Round of 16.

Man United vs Sevilla odds

After taking into account both of these side's recent form, the bookmakers have made Manchester United huge favourites to win this quarterfinal first leg Europa League clash at Old Trafford.

Given Sevilla could still find themselves in relegation trouble this campaign in La Liga, the visitors should have their focus on league form rather than Europa League action but that could also see them travel to Manchester to use this match as a free hit of sorts.

There's no expectation for them but even still, United should have enough here to easily get the better of Jose Luis Mendilibar's team.
