The Bundesliga season is set to return to action when Bayern Munich take a trip to Werder Bremen on the opening night of the 2023/24 campaign.

Bayern come into the new season as champions and have won the last 11 Bundesliga titles in a row. They also look set to have a new striker that English fans may be interested in.

Harry Kane is expected to finalise a move to the German champions from Tottenham Hotspur in a deal worth over €100 million.

Spurs will be without Champions League football this season, surely a huge factor in Kane's decision-making — as well as the fact he has never won a major trophy in his career, despite playing regularly in the top flight of English football for nearly a decade.

Borussia Dortmund pushed Bayern's title challenge to the final day last season but they were held to a draw with Mainz and Bayern beat FC Koln.

Those two teams are expected to go toe-to-toe again, but RB Leipzig and Union Berlin enjoyed fantastic seasons last time out and could look to push the front-runners in what could be a thrilling season.

You can again watch the Bundesliga on TV in the UK this season. Sky Sports will be broadcasting live games and highlights throughout the 2023/24 campaign.

The matches will be shown on the Sky Sports Football channels, which you can add to your subscription for £25 per month.
