After losing two of their opening three Euro 2024 qualifying matches, the task at hand doesn't get much easier for Ireland as they travel to Paris to play World Cup finalists France next.
These two sides last met back in March when a Benjamin Pavard strike proved the decisive blow in a 1-0 win for the French who come into this latest qualifier having won four from four in Group B.
The two wins that have come on home soil saw them defeat the Netherlands 4-0 and Greece 1-0, whilst overall the hosts are still yet to even concede a goal across their qualifiers, something only Hungary and Portugal have also managed to do so far.
With the Irish squad looking a little weaker after the key injury withdrawal of Brighton's in-form striker Evan Ferguson, they could be in for a tough outing in this latest clash.

France vs. Ireland best bet
- Pick: Over 2.5 goals
- Odds: 8/11 (BetOnSports)
Given the fact that France are overwhelming favourites here, value is somewhat hard to come by in truth.
That said, at 8/11 with BetOnSports, picking the over 2.5 goals seems a no brainer when looking at France's elite attacking line up.
They've already shown their potency with a 4-0 win over the Netherlands in Paris and with Ireland looking shaky defensively, they could bag a number of goals again on this occasion.
France vs. Ireland flier bet
- Pick: Antoine Griezmann to score anytime and under 3.5 goals in the match
- Odds: 3/1 (BetOnSports)
It's difficult to find value in picking just a goalscorer, so we've also added the under 3.5 goals selection to it for higher odds.
That could be detrimental to this bet coming in with France's lethal attacking line but as we've put before, we're predicting a 3-0 win for France here which would see this option come in.
Rather than taking Kylian Mbappe to find the back of the net which sits at very short odds, we've picked Antoine Griezmann instead who remains France's most underrated star.
He's been exceptional over the years for his international side, netting 43 goals across 121 outings for France with two of those coming in three clashes with Ireland!
