Everton vs. Nottingham Forest: Time, TV channel, live stream, lineups and betting odds for Premier League clash image

A desperate Everton welcome newly-promoted Nottingham Forest to Goodison Park as the Toffees continue to search for their first points of the Premier League season.

A pair of one-goal losses to Chelsea and Aston Villa have the club on the ropes already, just a few months after barely avoiding relegation last season.

One of just three clubs yet to pick up a single point through the first two matches of the league season, Everton are dealing with a host of significant injuries that have depleted the squad in key areas. Abdoulaye Doucore is the latest to go down after picking up a hamstring injury a half-hour into the Aston Villa defeat last week.

Forest, meanwhile, picked up their first Premier League victory since 1999 when they downed West Ham last weekend by a 1-0 scoreline.

Everton vs. Nottingham Forest lineups & team news

Everton manager Frank Lampard will have to do without midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure (hamstring) for a few weeks, and it's Tom Davies who earns the call to replace him over Amadou Onana.

Allan is back on the bench, but key players remain out: Dominic Calvert-Lewin (knee), Yerry Mina (ankle ligaments), and Ben Godfrey (fractured fibula). Dele Alli's move to Besiktas reportedly only needs his sign-off, but he's still on the bench against Forest.

Everton starting lineup (3-4-3, right to left): 1-Jordan Pickford (GK) — 4-Mason Holgate, 30-Conor Coady, 2-James Tarkowski  — 3-Nathan Patterson, 26-Tom Davies, 17-Alex Iwobi, 19-Vitaliy Mykolenko — 11-Demarai Gray, 33-Salomon Rondon, 10-Anthony Gordon

Everton subs (9): 15-Asmir Begovic (GK), 23-Seamus Coleman, 5-Michael Keane, 8-Amadou Onana, 6-Allan, 25-Jean-Philippe Gbamin, 20-Dele Alli, 29-Ruben Vinagre, 7-Dwight McNeil

Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper has several of his big signings on the bench, but none will start. The injury that forced Moussa Niakhate off the field last week has ruled him out with Steve Cook taking his place. Jack Colback (illness) is out, but Ryan Yates is back available on the bench.

Nottingham Forest starting lineup (3-4-3, right to left): 1-Dean Henderson (GK) — 4-Joe Worrall, 3-Steve Cook, 26-Scott McKenna — 7-Neco Williams, 14-Lewis O'Brien, 5-Orel Mangala, 15-Harry Toffolo — 20-Brennan Johnson, 9-Taiwo Awoniyi 11-Jesse Lingard

Nottingham Forest subs (9): 13-Wayne Hennessey (GK), 2-Giulian Biancone, 22-Ryan Yates, 23-Remo Freuler, 21-Cheikhou Kouyate, 17-Alex Mighten, 16-Sam Surridge, 25-Emmanuel Dennis, 10-Morgan Gibbs-White

Everton vs. Nottingham Forest betting odds, pick & prediction

Odds via DraftKings (USA) & Sports Interaction (Canada), SkyBet (UK)

A host of injuries have befallen the Toffees, leaving their attacking line especially thin. Everton have, however, improved significantly at the back this summer, adding James Tarkowski and Connor Coady in the transfer window, two positive additions to a previously porous defense.

Forest, meanwhile, have also maintained a positive defensive structure, holding opponents goalless in three of their four halves of play thus far, including a full clean sheet kept at home against West Ham. Only the two-goal second half against Newcastle remains a blight on the record.

This match should see goals at a premium as the Goodison faithful hope for their first points of the Premier League season.

Pick: Under 2.5 goals (-134 on DraftKings)

Prediction: Everton 1-1 Nottingham Forest
