England can reach the quarterfinals for a second successive World Cup and extend their unbeaten run against African teams at the finals to eight matches when the Three Lions face Cameroon in the Round of 16 on Sunday.
Senegal are the only side to have won in nine attempts by African teams in knockout phase games against European nations, beating Sweden at this stage in 2002 – but the Lions of Teranga have reasons to be confident after beating Qatar and Ecuador to finish a point behind the Netherlands in Group A.
Their next opponents produced a vastly-improved second-half performance to thrash Wales 3-0 shortly after the Africa Cup of Nations holders progressed, with all the goals coming inside 19 minutes and Marcus Rashford taking his group stage tally to three as his side remained unbeaten and won Group B by two points.
Here's how to watch the action live as these teams meet for the first time.

England vs. Senegal lineups
Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips made his long-awaited return from a shoulder injury as a second-half substitute for England against Wales, while Leicester City playmaker James Maddison remained on the bench as he continues his comeback from a knee injury that meant he only trained with the squad for the first time before their final group game.
Defender Ben White has left the squad for personal reasons, and head coach Gareth Southgate has tricky selection decisions to make after Rashford and Phil Foden - who also scored - impressed in a starting side shaken up following a 0-0 draw against the USA that received some criticism.
Bukayo Saka, Mason Mount and Raheem Sterling are the most likely candidates to come in if Southgate makes changes again.
England projected lineup (4-3-3 right to left): 1. Pickford (GK) — 12. Trippier, 5. Stones, 6. Maguire, 3. Shaw — 8. Henderson, 22. Bellingham, 4. Rice — 11. Rashford, 9. Kane, 10. Sterling
Idrissa Gueye is not happy about being suspended for Senegal after collecting a booking in the 2-1 victory over Ecuador. "I was disgusted at the time," the Everton player reportedly said. "I kept telling the referee that, through his fault, I was going to miss the Round of 16 match."
Leicester's Nampalys Mendy is expected to replace Gueye, while one of their fellow Premier League midfielders, Nottingham Forest's Cheikhou Kouyate, is yet to return to training after landing awkwardly during Senegal's opening match against the Netherlands and being taken off on a stretcher.
Senegal projected lineup (4-2-3-1, right to left): 16. E. Mendy (GK) — 21. Sabaly, 3. Koulibaly, 14. Jakobs, 22. Diallo — 26. P Gueye, 5. N. Mendy — 11. P Ciss, 18. I. Sarr, 13. Ndiaye — 9. Dia
England vs. Senegal odds
England are heavily favoured to see off a Senegal side who also lost Ballon d'Or nominee Sadio Mane to injury before the tournament started, depriving head coach Rigobert Song of his key attacking talent.
Since beating France 1-0 in their first ever World Cup match in 2002, Senegal have conceded at least once in each of their 10 games in the competition. Their 2-0 defeat against Oranje was the only game of their last 11 in which they have failed to score.

A reminder: All moneyline bets in soccer are for regulation only, regardless of competition. If the match requires a winner and goes to extra-time or penalties, a moneyline bet of a regulation draw is successful and the rest of play does not factor in.
