Chelsea take on West Ham United this Sunday at Stamford Bridge in a game that both sides will be desperate to get three points from to move closer to their Premier League goals.

Thomas Tuchel will be looking for a much-improved performance from his Blues team following a disappointing 4-2 defeat at home to Arsenal, which has left him with work to do in order to secure Champions League football for next season.

On the other hand, West Ham are looking to boost their own hopes of qualifying for Europe west London this weekend. David Moyes will be looking to build some consistency with his Hammers side after just one win in six games in all competitions.

This match has the potential to produce fireworks, as with any London derby, and there are more than just bragging rights at stake at this late stage of the season.

Chelsea vs. West Ham predicted lineups

Andreas Christensen was substituted in the midweek defeat to Arsenal with a minor knock, making him a doubt for selection against the Hammers.

Antonio Rudiger didn't compete in the Arsenal match due to a groin injury and Tuchel confirmed he will also miss out against West Ham, as will Mateo KovacicCallum Hudson-Odoi and Ben Chilwell are long-term absentees.

Chelsea predicted lineup (3-4-1-2): Mendy (GK) — Azpilicueta, Silva, Sarr, — James, Kante, Loftus-Cheek, Alonso — Mount — Werner, Havertz.

West Ham face something of a crisis in central defence, with Issa Diop, Kurt Zouma and Angelo Ogbonna all sidelined for the trip to Stamford Bridge.

Tomas Soucek or Ben Johnson may be utilised to partner Craig Dawson centrally in the backline for West Ham.

West Ham predicted lineup (4-2-3-1): Fabianski (GK) — Johnson, Soucek, Dawson, Cresswell — Noble, Rice — Bowen, Lanzini, Vlasic — Antonio.

Chelsea vs. West Ham betting odds

Chelsea will aim to take advantage of the Hammers' defensive absences and will look to Timo Werner and Kai Havertz to profit from any available opportunities. Former RB Leipzig man Werner has produced some brilliant form in recent weeks and is Chelsea's most prolific player in all competitions since the beginning of last season with 23 goals.

West Ham will look to create problems for the Blues' defence in their own right, as Tuchel's men looked particularly susceptible to counter-attacks against Arsenal during the week. This may be Moyes' preferred method of approach at Stamford Bridge, where he will rely on the pace of Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio to pull it off.
