Chelsea will hope to exact revenge on local rivals Fulham, hosting the Whites at Stamford Bridge in Premier League play just weeks after suffering a dramatic defeat in the reverse fixture.

Backup striker Carlos Vinicius pierced Chelsea hearts in the 73rd minute to secure a 2-1 victory after Joao Felix had been sent off to leave the Blues down a man.

Yet things have changed for both sides since that matchup last month. Chelsea have since made huge waves in the January transfer market, bringing in talented young winger Mykhailo Mudryk before making a massive splash for record signing Enzo Fernandez from Benfica. The injections to the Chelsea squad will ease some of the concerns around the injury crisis that remains in the Blues dressing room, with a host of players on the mend but still with recovery to go.

Fulham have tasted defeat in their last two Premier League matches, but still sit seventh in the table. They are within reach, as Chelsea would jump the Whites with victory at home, currently 10th but just two points back of their opponents in this fixture.

Chelsea vs Fulham confirmed lineups & team news

Chelsea had an incredible January transfer window, but the injury crisis remains at Stamford Bridge, and it will force a number of new players into the lineup quicker than Graham Potter will have wanted.

Record signing Enzo Fernandez starting for Chelsea was the headline team news. Reece James returned from injury, while Hakim Ziyech was also called upon after his loan to PSG fell short as a result of bungled paperwork. Jorginho is no longer with the club after completing a Deadline Day move to Arsenal.

Joao Felix was on the final game of his three-match suspension picked up for his straight red card in the reverse fixture between these two teams on January 12, while Christian PulisicBen ChilwellN'Golo Kante, and Armando Broja are all confirmed out with long-term injuries.

Raheem Sterling, Wesley Fofana and Ben Chilwell were on the bench, while Edouard Mendy and Denis Zakaria are all close to a return but were not involved. Mateo Kovacic cropped up with a new calf injury and missed the match.

Chelsea confirmed starting lineup (4-2-3-1): Kepa (GK) — James, Badiashile, Silva, Cucurella — Gallagher, Fernandez — Mudryk, Mount, Ziyech — Havertz.

Talisman Aleksandar Mitrovic has managed a foot injury since the World Cup and missed the reverse fixture due to a yellow card suspension, but was ready to lead the line at Stamford Bridge.

Deadline day arrivals Sasa Lukic and Cedric are meant to serve squad roles and did not start. Tim Ream, at 35 years old, is the Premier League's minutes leader, and slotted into his role at the back again.

There is just one player missing for Fulham via injury, as Neeskens Kebano remains out with an Achilles injury – although it's not a full tear, meaning he should return somewhat soon.

Fulham confirmed starting lineup (4-2-3-1): Leno (GK) — Tete, Diop, Ream, Robinson — Palhinha, Reed — Reid, Pereira, Willian — Mitrovic.

Chelsea vs Fulham betting odds & lines

Odds via BetMGM (USA), Sports Interaction (Canada), SkyBet (UK), and Neds (Australia).

The Blues are heavy favorites at home in this match despite the result that left Fulham with all three points just a few short weeks ago. It seems that Chelsea's incredible January transfer haul has given the betting market renewed fervor over the London side, especially after the exceptional early showing from new signing Mudryk.

Interestingly, it seems tough for bookmakers to figure out whether goals will come in this match. It seems that bettors are unsure whether Fulham can find the back of the net here, despite the ever-present danger of Mitrovic, who will be available for this match. The goal total and both teams to score are both almost a dead-even split, showing that fans believe in a renewed Chelsea to keep Fulham out of the net.
