Harry Kewell will be back in Australia next week as Celtic take part in the inaugural Sydney Super Cup and Aaron Mooy thinks he's more than capable of putting the boots back on.
The famous Socceroo is currently an assistant coach at the Hoops as he learns off current manager Ange Postecoglou.
Kewell has previously managed clubs in England's lower leagues but jumped at the chance to work under Postecoglou in Scotland.
While the 44-year-old has long since hung up the boots, there was a glint in his eye when asked if he might ask Postecoglou for some minutes when Celtic play Sydney FC and Everton over the next fortnight.
"The standards are very high here. The level I was working in previously and when you step up to this level, I was taken back. I was thinking, 'Wow'," Kewell said in an interview with Celtic TV.
"From the first moment they work hard, they very rarely lose the ball and if one of the teams get three or four passes, the opposition ain't really seeing it for another 15, 16 passes.
"So could I be involved in that? I probably could as a mannequin somewhere in the middle and just probably conducting it, but no, I don't think so. I've had my time, it's their time now to go out there and shine."
While Kewell played down his ability to slot into this Celtic side, Mooy disagreed and is adamant the former Aussie star would fit right in.
"He easily could. I don't agree. He'd slot in there no problems, honestly," Mooy said.

Though Kewell likely won't be kicking a ball in Sydney, he is looking forward to taking Celtic to Australia and believes fans will be rewarded for turning out to watch the side in the flesh.
"I'm excited to come back...it's virtually in my neighbourhood so I'm looking forward to seeing my family, friends and just going out there putting on a show for the people that come out there and watch Celtic in these two games," Kewell said.
"Celtic are a very successful team and we're hoping all these people come out to watch us live because watching on TV or little snippets...it's not the same as actually going out there and seeing it live."
Celtic kick off the Sydney Super Cup against Sydney FC on November 17 with tickets still available here.
