The much-anticipated Asia Cup 2023 clash between India and Pakistan on Saturday ended up as a colossal disappointment after rain forced a 'No Result'.
India had posted a score of 266 at Pallekele after electing to bat first, thanks to the efforts of Ishan Kishan (82) and Hardik Pandya (87). The Men in Blue were in danger of being dismissed for a cheaper score when Pakistan's pace bowling battery, led by Shaheen Afridi, had reduced them to 66/4.
However, India managed to recover and ended up setting a target of 267. However, Pakistan's chase never got off, thanks to incessant rain and both teams ended up sharing a point each.

Despite the disappointment of not seeing a complete India vs Pakistan clash, fans and pundits will have another chance to see the arch-rivals meet again at Asia Cup 2023.

India have qualified for the Super Four stage along with Pakistan after defeating minnows Nepal by 10 wickets.
As a result, they will now take on Pakistan again in the Super Four stage. Pakistan and India will face each other on September 10 (Sunday) in the Super Four stage.

The Super Four clash between India and Pakistan will be held at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. There are reports that it could be shifted to Hambantota because of torrential rain at Colombo.
