Virat Kohli continues his search for an IPL trophy as Royal Challengers Bangalore face Mumbai Indians in their season opener.

RCB have reached the finals three times but have never won the trophy. They managed to fight their way into the playoffs last year despite having a negative net run rate, but lost in the second eliminator to Rajasthan Royals.

Five-time winners Mumbai finished bottom of the table last year after winning just four of their 14 group matches. MI spent big in the auction on all-rounder Cameron Green along with the experience of Piyush Chawla and Jason Behrendorff.

Mumbai have won 17 of the 30 meetings between the two franchises, but RCB won by seven wickets in their matchup last year. Royal Challengers have in fact won their last four games against MI.

The Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, which holds up to 40,000 people, is usually known to be a good place for batters due to the small boundaries. The bowlers can still make a big impact, but have very little room for error.
