India will be keen to iron out their flaws ahead of the second Test against England, which will be played at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.

England carry a 1-0 lead heading into the Vizag Test as the visitors defeated India by 28 runs in what skipper Ben Stokes termed as their "greatest victory" since he took over as captain in Tests.

Stokes and Co. will be pumped when they take the field for the second Test, but India will be twice as motivated to turn things around and level the series in Vizag.

India have played just two Tests at this venue, winning both of them. 

The first-ever Test India played in Vizag came in November 2016 against England. India won the Test by a staggering 246-run margin. 

Almost three years later, India and South Africa played a Test which the former won comprehensively by 203 runs.

What is India's record in ODIs in Visakhapatnam?

India have played 10 ODIs in Vizag, winning seven and losing two. One game ended in a tie. 

The Men in Blue played their first-ever one-dayer at this venue on April 5, 2005, against Pakistan. India won the game by 58 runs. 

In the most recent ODI, played on March 19, 2023, Australia handed India a humiliating defeat as the Aussies won the game by 10 wickets and 39 overs to spare. 

India's only other loss in Vizag in ODIs came on November 24, 2013, against West Indies, who won the game by 2 wickets.

India have played just five T20Is in Vizag, winning three and losing one. 

India's first-ever T20I at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium was supposed to be played on September 8, 2012, against New Zealand.

However, heavy and persistent downpour meant that the match was abandoned without a single ball bowled. 

India took on Sri Lanka, then, in what was technically India's first-ever T20I on this ground. India defeated their neighbours by 9 wickets.

In the most recent T20I here, India took on Australia, with the former earning a 2-wicket win on November 23, 2023. 

India's only loss here came in 2019 against Australia as they won the T20I by 3 wickets.
