Mahmadullah (46) and Mushfiqur Rahim (38) chipped in with valuable contributions too. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj, and Ravi Jadeja bagged two wickets each for India.

In response, India got off to a flying start. The hosts built an 88-run opening stand themselves, laying a foundation for a calm finish. Chase-master Virat Kohli came up with the goods yet again. He scored an unbeaten century (103). Shubman Gill (53) scored a half-century as well.
