After a disappointing defeat at the hands of Australia in the ODI World Cup final, India got back to winning ways earlier this week when they defeated the Aussies in the first T20I of the five-match series.
Under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav, the hosts managed to chase a massive total of 208 runs in 20 overs to go one up in the series.
With one eye on the T20 World Cup next June, this could be an important series for both sides. Both of them are set to play just 11 T20s before the global event.

Will the clash at Guwahati be the series-decider? Only time will tell.

10:18pm: WICKET! Prasidh Krishna gets into the act! Australia lose their seventh, and are crumbling as we get to the end of the run chase. Krishna gets the timber of Sean Abbott, who fails to judge the yorker. Australia are 150/7 after 15.1 overs
10:14pm: WICKET! Two wickets of two successive batsmen in two consecutive overs! Pacer Mukesh Kumar gets the set batsman Marcus Stoinis in the 15th over. Stoinis fails to clear the boundary as the ball falls into the safe hands of Axar Patel. Australia are 149/6 after 15 overs.
10:07pm: WICKET! Whenever India need a wicket, Ravi Bishnoi gets to the rescue! Bishnoi bags his third of the game, as Tim David is dismissed for 37 off 22 deliveries. The stage is set for the final six overs of the game, as Australia are a far way behind, yet. Australia are 142/5 after 14 overs.

Australia are 58/4 after 7.2 overs.
9:24pm: WICKET! The spin twins are doing it for India at the moment! After Short and Inglis, pocket dynamo Glenn Maxwell bites the dust! An aggressive start has led Australia to lose three wickets in quick succession. Australia are 53/3 after 6 overs.
9:17pm: WICKET! Ravi Bishnoi at it again! It is turn to trouble for Australia, as Bishnoi picks up his second wicket of his spell. Australia are 39/2 after 4.2 overs.

India, on the other hand, will field an unchanged lineup.
IND vs AUS: Greenfield International Stadium pitch report
The Greenfield International Stadium has traditionally been friendly to the bowlers. The pitch has a slight tendency to crack a bit, making it favourable for spinners. On more humid days, the moisture in the pitch can assist fast bowlers, but by the same token, the ball comes onto the bat easier.
The ease for bowlers during the day, however, is offset by the difficult conditions under lights, when dew is likely to set in.
