After a magical six-wicket win over Pat Cummins-led Australia in their first match of the ICC World Cup 2023, India are all set to face Afghanistan on October 11 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
India are currently placed fifth on the points table and have a great chance to move up by defeating Afghanistan with a healthy margin.

However, they will field their XI without Shubman Gill, who also missed the first match due to dengue, as the BCCI confirmed that the star opener is officially ruled out. India also have a decision to make as they will need to choose between Ravichandran Ashwin and Shardul Thakur.
On the other hand, there have not been any injury concerns for the Hashmatullah Shahidi-led Afghanistan side, but they suffered a morale-denting loss to Bangladesh in Dharamsala on Saturday.
The batting and bowling was well below par in the first game, and they need to raise their standards against India's formidable line-up.

9:02 pm- In the end, India win easily, although it was only made so by Rohit Sharma's spectacular blitz at the start of the innings. Virat Kohli walks out to the middle.

7:33 pm- Rohit has continued his onslaught on the Afghanistan bowling, and that has enabled Kishan to play himself in, and he's started to get going as well. It's looking very ugly for the bowling side at the moment. India 130/0 in 15 overs (Rohit 92*, Kishan 31*).
7:17 pm- It's the Rohit Sharma show in Delhi. He has just put Afghanistan to the sword, and almost looks determined to finish this match himself. India well on course for a big win after the first Powerplay. India 94/0 in 10 overs (Rohit 76*, Kishan 11*).
6:50 pm- It's been a very good start so far for India. Both Farooqi and Mujeeb Ur Rahman started well, but the last couple of overs have seen some more attacking intent, especially from Rohit Sharma. India 37/0 in 5 overs (Rohit 31*, Kishan 5*).
6:30 pm- Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan are out in the middle, with 273 the target. Fazalhaq Farooqi has the ball in hand, Rohit on strike and we're ready to go. Tucked into the leg side for a single. India 1/0 in 0.1 overs (Rohit 1*, Kishan 0*).

IND vs AFG Predictions, tips and betting odds
The renovated black soil pitch at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in the match between Proteas and Sri Lanka showed that there are plenty of runs to be scored, and the team winning the toss will look to bat first on this batting paradise, provided that dew does not come into play.
The last match played in Delhi witnessed a total of 754 runs scored in both innings by South Africa and Sri Lanka, which eventually set a record for the most runs scored in an ODI World Cup match in the history of the tournament. Considering this and India's batting prowess, the hosts would be favourites to secure two points.
As per the Dafabet odds, India will end up as the winner.
