After that, he will fly to Mumbai to attend the match.
The encounter marks a rematch of the 2019 semi-final at the iconic Wankhede Stadium. New Zealand, eyeing their third consecutive ODI World Cup final, will face an in-form Indian team seeking revenge for their previous defeat in Manchester.
India has displayed exceptional form in the 2023 campaign, winning all nine matches, including a victory against New Zealand in Dharamshala. Led by Virat Kohli's 95, India triumphed by four wickets, with Mohammed Shami's five-wicket haul restricting New Zealand to 273 runs.
After the initial loss, New Zealand faced a four-game losing streak before securing the final semi-final spot by defeating Sri Lanka. Whereas, India continued their winning streak against England, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and the Netherlands, finishing at the top of the points table.
